A Global Renaissance
Creativity and innovation have always been important, but today, more than any other time in history, we need creative and innovative thinking to meet global challenges.
imagine it! illustrates the convergence of creativity, education, technology, globalization, political will and personal desire, intersecting at a moment in time unlike any other; when a new generation is engaging their curiosity to change the world in ways we can only imagine.
Documentary Film Series
The first imagine it! Film, “post it® notes” was made in conjunction with Stanford University during the 2007 Global Innovation Tournament. The story is based on this premise: What if you gave thousands of students a common household object and challenged them to create as much value as possible? What would they do? What value would they create?
Student teams from Japan, Australia, India, Thailand, Ecuador and the United States surprised everyone with what they accomplished. By harnessing the power of online collaboration, imagine it! shares the students’ stories of what they did by collecting and presenting digital media created by the students themselves. Additional perspectives are from competition officials, university professors, celebrity authors and entrepreneurs from around the world.
