imagine it! Documentary World Premier
The inspiring documentary about the 2007 Global Challenge premiers February 22, 2008 at Stanford University.

Los Angeles, January 3, 2008…What if you gave students around the world a common household object and asked them to innovate? What would they do? What would they create? That is the premise of a global innovation “Challenge” and the imagine it! documentary film series.

In February 2007 during Entrepreneurship Week USA Stanford University invited
hundreds of universities and thousands of students from around the world to participate in a global innovation challenge.

The challenge? Add value to a pack of Post-it® Notes...in six days!

The results were amazing. Using just a pack of Post-it® Notes the students lifted spirits, opened minds, raised awareness, raised money, donated to charity, educated kids, promoted health, talked politics and created music.

With exotic backdrops from countries including Thailand, Australia, India, Ecuador and the USA, imagine it! documents the global innovation “Challenge” which was held February 24 - March 3, 2007 as part of EntrepreneurshipWeek USA.

“Positioned at the intersection of creativity, culture and competition imagine it! captures a compelling and revealing story about the human spirit,” explained Richard Tavener, executive producer of the film.

By harnessing the power of online collaboration the producers tell the students’ stories as never before by collecting a vast quantity of digital media created by the students themselves. Video clips, powerpoint presentations and photographs recorded on digital cameras were uploaded to the internet then edited and woven together as an integral part of the tapestry of the film.

“Ten years from now we’ll look back at this film as an illustration of the turning point in using collaborative communities to make compelling media,” added Tavener.

Additional perspectives are included in the film through the use of professionally filmed HD interviews with competition officials, university professors, celebrated authors and entrepreneurs from around the world.

“This film reveals unmatched creative potential from a cross-culture competition where
the global playing field is level and everyone has the opportunity to use technology in
new and exciting ways,” explained film director Rudy Poe. “We made the film from the
collective creativity of peer production whereby the students contributions were mixed
with leadership of the production team,” added Poe.

The documentary film imagine it! premiers in the USA and internationally on February 22, 2008 at Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA. For more information contact Tina Seelig, Stanford University tseelig@stanford.edu.

“Worldwide Creativity Challenge and Documentary Film Launched”

What if you gave students around the world each a pad of Post-it ® Notes and asked them to innovate? What would they do?

Los Angeles, February 6, 2007. What if you gave students around the world a pad of Post-it ® Notes and asked them to innovate? What would they do? That's the premise of an exciting feature documentary film titled imagine it!™.

The film imagine it!™ documents the six days of the international “Creative Challenge” which was held February 24 - March 3, 2007 during Entrepreneurship Week USA.

“Positioned at the intersection of creativity, culture and competition imagine it!™ captures a compelling and revealing story about the human spirit,” explained Richard Tavener, executive producer of the film.

By harnessing the power of the internet the producers tell the emotionally charged stories of success and failure as never before by collecting a vast quantity of digital media created by the students themselves. Thousands of individual video clips, photos, audio and text files recorded on digital cameras, cell phones, voice mails, text messages, emails and blogs are uploaded to the internet then edited and woven together as an integral part of the digital tapestry of the film.

Additional perspectives are included in the film through the use of professionally filmed HD interviews with competition officials, university professors, parents, celebrated authors and well-known entrepreneurs from around the world.

With an exotic backdrop of ten countries (such as Japan, Thailand, Australia, India, Brazil, Spain, Colombia, Ecuador, Hong Kong and the USA) imagine it!™ seeks out and tells the most fascinating competitors' stories as they endure six exhilarating days and nights in their attempt to create the most value from a pad of Post-it ® Notes.

Film director Rudy Poe explained, “This film reveals human potential in an unprecedented combination of cross-culture competition where the playing field is level and everyone has the opportunity to innovate in ways we can't even imagine.” “Essentially that's where the name of the film came from,” added Poe.

imagine it!™ uncovers the power of imagination and illustrates how, when we encourage people to focus on positive outcomes, we can make the world a better place. The film exports the belief that the most important attribute you can have is a creative imagination. There has never been a time in history when the character of the human spirit wasn't important, but imagine it!™ reminds us that it has never been more important than now.

“In the end, this is a story about dreamers in action,” said Tavener.

The feature documentary film imagine it!™ premiers in the US and internationally in February 2008.

imagine it!™ is produced by Infinite Loop Media, LLC., Los Angeles, CA.
